The Messy Mutts Slow Feeder Bowl Insert is a clever, low-cost solution for pet owners dealing with dogs that eat too fast — and a smart add-on item for any bowl purchase. Rather than replacing an existing bowl, it simply drops in to transform it into an interactive feeding station that encourages slower, more mindful eating.

The insert features a 4.5-inch solid polypropylene base with flexible TPR wings that extend to 7.5 inches in diameter, creating multiple compartments that dogs must navigate to reach their food. Six suction cups anchor it securely to non-porous bowl surfaces, and the bendable wings can even be trimmed to fit a wider range of bowl sizes and shapes. The whole unit is dishwasher safe, making cleanup as straightforward as any standard bowl.

This insert works best for dogs of all sizes who tend to gulp their meals, and it fits most stainless steel, plastic, or ceramic bowls with a minimum 5-inch diameter base. It comes in one universal size designed to adapt across a variety of standard feeding bowls. Dog Dish carries it as a practical, versatile option for customers looking to make mealtime a little slower and a lot more engaging.
